🧾 About the Competition
The Essay Writing Competition by YourLegalAid.online aims to encourage legal research, critical thinking, and expression among law students. This is more than a writing contest — it’s an opportunity to present your legal ideas to a national audience, get published, and win recognition.
Participants are invited to write on socially relevant legal topics that intersect with constitutional values, technology, and human rights.
📚 Themes (Choose One)
Participants must submit one original essay on any of the following topics:
- Reimagining the Right to Privacy in the Age of AI Surveillance
- Decriminalization vs. Social Reform: Rethinking Personal Laws in India
- Climate Justice and the Indian Legal Framework: Gaps and Solutions
- Freedom of Speech on Digital Platforms: Should There Be Limits?
- The Role of Judiciary in Safeguarding Constitutional Morality
Note: Essays must be analytical, well-researched, and properly cited. Purely descriptive pieces will be penalized.

✍️ Submission Guidelines
- Word Limit: 1,200 – 1,500 words (excluding footnotes)
- Format: PDF, Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing, justified
- Citation Style: Uniform citation method (preferably Bluebook or ILI)
- File Naming:
FullName_Topic.pdf(e.g., AnjaliSharma_Privacy.pdf) - Originality: Must be original, unpublished work. Plagiarism over 10% leads to disqualification.
